We did it! Frances and Jane presented a TEDTalk at TEDxHickory!
In case you are unaware of the TED program, TED is a platform for ideas worth spreading. Started in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, TED today shares ideas from a broad spectrum — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independent TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world. (To learn more about the TED program, click here! For information about TEDxHickory, click here!)
As one of the few TEDTalks that deals with aging — and the only one that addresses the impact adult-child caregiving has on individuals, families, communities and our nation as we care for our aging parents — Frances and Jane are thrilled to have the opportunity to share statistics as well as personal insights about the realities, trends and future of the 31 million adult-child caregivers who are currently caring for an aging parent.
We hope you will take a few moments to view the YouTube video below. TEDTalks are limited to 18 minutes.
